Honraria
A Ivors Academy acaba de revelar que Sting é o mais recente compositor a se tornar um Academy Fellow, a maior honraria que a Academia concede. Ele receberá o prêmio no The Ivors, no dia 18 de maio, em Londres. A Academia também apresenta a Amazon Music como o novo patrocinador principal do The Ivors, em uma colaboração que ampliará e dimensionará o reconhecimento e a celebração dos prêmios de compositores em todo o mundo. Para comemorar a companheirismo de Sting, a Amazon Music compartilhou uma demo exclusiva da faixa “If It’s Love”, de seu último álbum, “The Bridge”, oferecendo uma visão rara do processo criativo de um dos compositores mais eminentes do mundo.
Sting se torna o 23º Fellow que a Academia induziu em seus 79 anos de história, uma honra reservada para aqueles que realmente remodelaram e redefiniram a arte e o ofício da criação musical. Sting agora se junta a uma lista de grandes compositores, incluindo Sir Paul McCartney, Kate Bush CBE, Joan Armatrading MBE e sucede a Peter Gabriel, que recebeu o prêmio em 2022.
